今回は東京に寄港したシンガポール海軍フォーミダブル級フリゲートのステッドファストの艦内見学とともに、なぜ小国であるシンガポールが海軍力を増強させているのかについても解説していきます。

The public open day of the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Formidable-class frigate RSS Steadfast was very well received by the Japanese public. The crew members of the Republic of Singapore Navy were always smiling and warmly welcomed us with greetings in Japanese. They had even prepared gifts for us, and the Japanese visitors were truly grateful for the warm hospitality shown by the Singapore Navy.

We sincerely hope that the friendship between Singapore and Japan will continue to grow and flourish for many years to come.

What rubbish. Singapore has been China’s largest foreign investor for years. China is the last country we will worry about. China has never invaded us. Never murdered any of our ancestors but unless you have forgotten, Japan invaded us and there are still places in Singapore where you will feel chills at night where the angry ghosts of World War 2 victims still walk. They have not forgotten who killed them and neither have we.
