There isn’t a single guideline that applies to every lifestyle and situation. Colin being unmarried, his property will not be inherited, and at this point in his life, he most likely does not have BRS CPF. Nobody is able to predict his future plans. Let’s hope that for the remainder of his life, he remains robust, healthy, and well-fed. He has no family or children to worry about, so enjoy life, eat well, be joyful, and live each day as if it were your last. Therefore, his primary focus shouldn’t be on investments and asset accumulation (for whom?), but rather spend a little more on his regular health check. If a person has family, childrens, then it will be a different story – you want to accumulate more assets and investments for the benefit of your future generations.
So if everyone thinks and behave like him… then who will be there to cure him when his leg cracked? Come On!!!! Stop showing this type of selfish behavior!!!!!
He is very skinny
Instead of using the word “retirement”, maybe the documentary title should be “Retrenched at 35 and survived without a job for nearly 20 years”.

Jialat. But to each, his own choice. Jai Hind.
$150? Soon it won’t be enough to survive in view of rising costs. It also isn’t enough to cover costs in Malaysia even if converted to RM.
You’ll only live once, again up to you how you want to live your life. If you want to be a monk that survive on $150 only per month then be it.
He looks very frail for his age, health is wealth.
