  • I test drove one of these new G6 and found the steering very ‘flighty’, both on normal roads and motorways. Both my wife and I (independently) discounted it from our new car list as we both felt we were continuosly having to apply steering input corrections. I have since been told that this was probably due to incorrect settings being selected in all the driver options, how did you find the steering?

Regarding the sound, if I recall correctly (but having test driven 10s of cars in the last few months, I could be mistaken) there are a number of sound modes and when I first played some music via Android Auto (from flac files) it sounded lifeless and not that great. However, after digging through the menus I was able to change the mode and one of the options really made a huge improvement. To my 70+ year old ears it was on par with the 18 speaker system in my Jaguar I Pace with the superdooper (can’t remember the name of the 3d sound system it has) 3d sound system.

  • Thanks for the video and I have to admit that it’s a very good result. I’m surprised that Tesla is already losing completely. Although it is true that Tesla had worse conditions in terms of temperature, considering the range, there is no reason to choose Tesla. One has to look at other advantages of Tesla, such as cheap charging via the Tesla Super Charger.

  • Are you going to test any of the RWD version? Just to understand if there is any major difference in consumption..

  • I have exactly the one you drive: XPeng G6 Performance in Stellar Purple. Did 9300km since I bought in mid February.

Very happy with it. Switched from Model 3 LR AWD 2021 and man that is an upgrade.

Surprised you get only 78.7kWh net because officially it is 80.8 gross and 80 net.

The LFP battery is so much better.

I sie a 2x185km to and fro consumption test at max 120kmh over a lot of steep hills here in CZ and got 200Wh/km overall in nice weather.

it does calculate idling but in the app in a part you cannot access.

The rest is annoying and I already complained to XPeng to fix that :)))

btw the XCombo for switching off all alarms without needing to confirm is 85280042
