I got a beautiful place in Jb
Lived there when I need
The malaysia. Not safe thing is not as bad as what a lot say it’s quite safe people are friendly
I can live comfortably in singapore but feel Jb gives good value for money
And more freedom
What you say is true
I change 3 k sgd each time and can’t finish it spending on food and services
It’s liberating and refreshing
After awhile you feel comfortable with the environment
It’s pretty much like singapore in the 1990s to 2010
My advice for others experience with open mind
Do the math and think if its for you
No right or wrong just your preference
After getting used to life in Singapore, I would not opt to retire in JB.
Too used to the convenience here. Meeting friends is easier.
The 2 big advantages are housing and buying cars. But when you reach your 70s, needing a car to get around can become a burden. So is a large house. Too much space to maintain.
My spouse and I have a beautiful retirement home in JB.
The environment is very serene and full of amenities. It is gated and guarded by white uniform nepal security.
Every unit comes with individual gate
We installed CCTVs at 4 corners of the house, every motion is notified to me.
We stay in a fully paid freehold condo in the east of Singapore. We are so blessed.
Its your hard earned money and savings. If you really itch to live in Malaysia, rental is much safer for many reasons. Buying properties in Malaysia is very risky. (many people got burned) Grass is always greener on the other side.
Hello can you do Thailand too? I see people staying in Thailand as well ! Thank you in advance 😀
It’s not giving up Singapore .to me it’s. Lifestyle upgrade
Malaysia grants HK citizens 90-day tourism stay period whereas Singaporeans get 30 days. So you’re already fxxked on the set go. Shame that the fxxking PAP govt is unable to enable ordinary Singaporeans to retire comfortably in Singapore.
Not so simple, don’t be fooled, you can’t go in and out indefinitely, MM2H is not cheap to qualify.
If you are a reasonably good planner(less adhocs) no problem.
If you are a middle-class lifestyle(4-6k per month) Lagi better, more savings in jb with better quality.
To kill time, Malaysia also more choices and best of all airport tax also very cheap.
IF u buy home , then ok , but if you rent , then it waste of money , owner anytime can raise it , if have personal transport then ok , public transport is horrible ,
