@GhibOjisan try tonkotsu king by keisuke in tanjong pagar
i’ve had ramen for around the same price of below S$10 in Japan where they also use machines for ordering. Takagi Ramen imo is of course not premium but I think it’s decent. the environment is good for the price (air-conditioned) and it’s super quick fuss-free ordering with their machines.
Hope can also recommend the best Halal Local Ramen in Singapore 😀 e.g Tokyo Shokudo , Yakiniku Shokudo or even Ichikokudo
Now im curious about takagi, is it that bad tho? Ngl when ppl give 4/5 its usually a 2/3 from me.
Cut the story stop….we visit Tokyo often n my kids will only eat Ramen when we are there. In Singapore it’s local wantonmee or meepok if they want noodles.
He learn ramen in a week doesnt mean he dont hav any skill in cooking before that, this is the opposite of japan where as much as mastery skill takes time but it gets too long n many skill r lost, i think its all about the balance n also the right person n talent, it shouldnt be taken as a bench mark.
Meanwhile when u talk about “authentic” japanese ramen, even the ramen scene in japan evolves over the years n last i went theres different shops offering different types of ramen these days, the only “authentic” is that the shop are run by japanese, in fact different region hav different rendition. I think end of the day authenticity should be judge by the sould n heart in it, i dont think theres actually a one single “authentic” recipe anyway.
Oh ya n the famouse durian ramen in malaysia, its an invention by the owner who is okinawa japanese, so the definition of authenticity is just a way of seeing how many percent of respect n love we hav honoring the dish, there’s not exactly a single formula
takagi was yucky. tried the vegetarian option it was absolutely shit.
