I love the Merlion, it was originally located along the Elisabeth Walk, and also where the old Satay Club used to be. There was little entertainment in the past and Elisabeth Walk was a place where locals go to date and enjoy the sea breeze along the Walk. So, I have many precious childhood memories of the evenings enjoying satay with my parents at Elisabeth Walk and the sight of mythical Merlion was uplifting.
