$1 stores are famous in America, so I am very excited to learn about the thigns in Norway that you can purchase for 1 dollar. This should also be a good way for me to get a better idea of the overall cost of things in general in Norway compared to the United States. That’s not true. A Tube of «Caviar-Mix», will cost You Ten Bucks.
And the «Fish—Balls», will cost You, 4-5 Bucks. But it’s enough for dinner for 2-3 persons. Served with Potaetos,and lots of Carrots.
Served with White Sauce, Seasoned with Curry.
Kaviar (not the mix, just plain) is good with harboiled eggs on bread. Yum!
02:37 Tuna fish bought at the local grocery store is not the same thing as the expensive Tuna that you can buy in specialty stores or at restaurants. It’s like Kaviar, you have the cheep kind for the everyday average joe’s sandwiches, then you have the luxury and expensive kind that almost no one can afford without going bankrupt if they aren’t rich people.
09:07 Yes, you got it right, First Price is the cheap store brand products, but they are often made by the name brand companies and so tastes identical or close enough, though some taste quite different. You got First Price, Xtra, Coop, Prima, Rema 1000, Eldorado, and a few others that I can’t remember off the top of my head right now.
14:16 Yeah, yep, that’s a thing, unfortunately… I’m only guessing that the reason some places started charging for public toilets is that people are messy, even in Norway, and don’t clean up after themselves, which leaves a messy bathroom for the next person to use the bathroom, and the people in charge of maintaining the bathrooms have to pay cleaners to come clean more often. It’s usually in places with heavy foottrafic, though, like at cinemas or transportation stations, though I don’t think you have to pay for public bathrooms at airports, at least not yet.
Honestly cheap products are like normal here in Norway, (most of the time). And fish balls are so good, even if you don’t like fish, try fish balls. WITH THE SAUCE!!

He very obviously made the video to make fun of the crap you can buy for a dollar. Like instead of anything actually useful, besides diapers, it’s all junk you need other things to make useful. It’s clearly a parody on how expensive basic things are. Take america for example, we have entire stores where you can get basically anything from some stickers to home repair, for a dollar. In america you can get about 3 sweet potatoes for a dollar, compared to the 1 in norway. And even the video he seems like he is running out of items to show, as if there are only 20 items at or under a dollar. Could be reading into it too much, but especially after his alcohol video, this seems like the humor his channel is known for. It’s weird so few comments weren’t understanding that, and instead just complimented the quality of shitty shampoo and gross cans of tuna, borderline meant for pets
about the tunfisk, it’s the shops own brand, and the shop called “rema 1000” is all about being the cheepest so they are more cheep then others, especally on their own brand. the brand is on the tomatoes as well. the same goes for first price.
edit: about the public toilets, that’s only for verry few of the public toilets, mostly seen in airports or large train stations
