Singapore’s Circle Line is finally becoming an actual circle. I joined the public preview of the three new CCL6 stations – Prince Edward Road, Cantonment, and Keppel – before passenger service begins on 12 July 2026.
My mission today:
1. Visit all three new stations
2. Take an epic selfie at every station signboard
3. Investigate what’s actually around these stations
At first, some of these stations seem… honestly quite empty. But once you look closer, the area tells a bigger story: old temples, a historic mosque, the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Singapore’s port history, and the future Greater Southern Waterfront.
As a Japanese person living in Singapore, I always found it funny that the “Circle Line” was not really a circle. But now that the loop is finally complete, does it actually change anything?
Was it worth the wait?

Need to get used to it; otherwise, you’ll be going around in circles.
I’m Singaporean but I love watching your videos especially since not all of us will go and check out all the new MRT stations! Keep up the passion!
It has been a long long time since i last took MRT since i am driving now…i heard they can use credit cards to tap through the gantry to the next station…is that true…?
Would love to see someone ride the whole circle line
As a singaporean, I still want to say I miss the old Tanjong Pagar station era. Used to take that train to KL, overnight! There’s a legendary Malay coffee shop there, and man, stepping to the station you already feel like you’re in Malaysia. Such a romantic way to travel. The trains back then weren’t the most comfortable, and the on board cafe car served chicken rice with mayo. Weird and not tasty. I wasn’t a train fan back then, but I would have enjoyed the novelty a lot more now. Last I took the train was I 2007. I still wish we kept the rail, too bad it had to go. Change is a constant in sg, for better or for worse.
A clock in Cantonment station? Maybe the DenLiner will appear once in a while.
Thks for sharing ❤
When I first went to Tokyo and took the Yamanote line, sg’s circle line didn’t exist yet. I was so hoping that time that sg has their own Yamanote line. I can say this is a pretty big milestone.
