Do you buy gold for investment?
Surprising to find so many young interviewees do not invest when it is so heavily marketed by low cost brokers and investing education is so publicly available
I am asking this question on behalf of a church friend. He is a 54-years-old single singaporean with no children no siblings no nieces no nephews. He recently bought a $500,000 resale flat with no housing loan and he fully paid up this $500,000 using all cash. He says he now has $344,000 cash in his bank accounts but his CPF has less than $5000 because he stayed overseas for the past 30 years and he just returned to Singapore recently.
He is a retiree and he is very firm on not looking for a job for the rest of his lifetime.
He intend to always rent out his master room for passive income and his passive income from his master room rental plus his interest/dividends from his $344,000 exceed his total monthly expenditure. He says he spend around $1100 to $1200 every month.
By the way, he is eligible to receive the Silver Support quarterly free money from 65-years-old onwards for the rest of his lifetime.
Do you peeps think with his fully paid up $500,000 flat plus his $344,000 cash is enough to last for the rest of his lifetime?
妳那两粒真的popping out already. No wonder it’s poppingsg
Lost braincells watching this video.
Investment wise can just buy like index funds (s&p 500 or the all world index). Don’t have to be that complicated. Also from my perspective, most Singaporeans only start to invest in their 30s
There are two big reasons to watch this video
