S$1b wellness destination to open at Marina South in 2030

A new S$1 billion wellness destination is set to transform Singapore’s tourism landscape. Located at Marina South, Therme Singapore will feature indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides and dozens of wellness treatment rooms. It will create about 400 jobs, including specialised roles like sauna masters and technicians. CNA speaks to Dr Samar Elhajjar, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Marketing at NUS.

  • It’s really a stupid waste of time. It will not take off. A true waste of money. Our usual tourism is down for the longest time and with the high cost of visitation. And I bet this will also be expensive to visit. Watch and see.
