  • I do find expensive gyms worth every bit of the money. You get more private space, a great variety of classes, sauna/ pool, and you don’t get booted off the treadmill after 20 minutes. Gym for some is not just about exercising, but a time to relax and zone out in a comfortable environment.

  • also expensive dumpling ! 7 dollar – 9 dollar for a single ‘premium’ dumpling , same unhealthy ! you can get the same dumpling at kou fu for 1.50 or 2.50 lol. big ticket item like a wedding banquet too ! all these hotel cartel just increasing the price together in unison every year

  • Talk and talk and talk at the end people will never think of what is the real root cause behind all prices spike.

  • im new here and feels like I’m watching myself. Yes save save save. Maybe can add buy toiletries at Swanson and Ocean Chinatown, dupes of designer brands perfume at Mustafa and wear mostly Uniqlo.

  • Chinese New Year Food pricing is also ridiculous these days. I stop buying when one tin of pineapple tarts cost 20 bucks. I go super market and buy the cheap version instead.

  • I make my own mayonnaise ,pasta sauce etc tastes way too good and at a fraction of the cost.
A good mayo can cost $7 upward for a small bottle and likewise for pasta sauce
