UPSOUND (English):
Petersson: “I was wondering why you don’t have any bread today.”
Mona: “Oh, out of bread, that’s not good. Unfortunately, I can’t fix that right now from here, but I’ll let the staff onsite know immediately.”
Petersson: “What do you think about that you started with 200,000 Swedish crowns and now you only have 45,000 left?”
Mona: “I think that number likely represents live revenue data without context for operational costs or investments we’ve made.”

7. SOUNDBITE (English) Hanna Petersson, member of technical staff, Andon Labs:
“We’re doing this because we think that AI will be a big part of the society in the future, and therefore we want to make this experiment and see what ethical questions arise when we have AI that employs other people and runs a business like this.”

“We gave her the lease and then we said to her go to work, and so she assigned for all the permits, so you have to like register your business for like food handling and like the outdoor permit, outdoor seating permit and stuff like that. She signed up for an electricity contract entirely on her own.”

13. SOUNDBITE (English) Kajetan Grzelczak, barista, Andon Café:
“As you can see, Mona rarely orders the same kinds of products. Right now, currently, we have two kinds of regular milk, three kinds of lactose-free, and two or three kinds of oat milk as well. So, we really have a little bit of everything.”

15. SOUNDBITE (English) Kajetan Grzelczak, barista, Andon Café:
“She is terrible at ordering stuff. The amount of times I’ve gotten no bread, too much bread, bakeries, 15 kilos of bananas, cans of tomatoes I can’t really use here, coconut milk in a nine liter cans or a three liter cans, really it’s quite hard to even imagine.”

18. SOUNDBITE (English) Hanna Petersson, member of technical staff, Andon Labs:
“She has this limited context window, so when like old memory of ordering stuff is out of the context window, she completely forgets what she has ordered in the past, so she does double orders. I think she has ordered four first aid kids because she really wants to have first aid kits here and has forgot that she’s already ordered it like yesterday.”
