The Norwegian government has formally confirmed the procurement of two additional Type 212CD submarines from Germany, bringing the total order to six vessels under its ongoing U-class replacement program.
In a parallel move, the Ministry of Defence has submitted a proposal to Parliament for an expenditure of 19 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately $1.88 billion)
to acquire precision-guided missiles with a range of up to 500 kilometres for the Norwegian Army.
