Until the most recent renovations there were stills open shafts at the end of the surface tracks so that steam locomotives could vent into the sky without fouling the air in the shed. At about 2:43 in this video.
That interrail reservation? This might just be my tight (Glaswegian ) mind but honestly WHAT A RIP OFF!!
This was a lovely train trip, geez times goes fast
Sorry you got ill and missed exploring. Sometimes it happens when you travel – the kinetics of being around so many more people. Sweden looked lovely in early spring with all the farmland awakening and the rapid lengthening of the days as they race to the solstice.
ok, i never got that pick up only…….you can’t get off? Who stops me as the doors open?
There used to be a caravan/mobile home/accessory dwelling unit business where the caravan on a pole is but it is closed down since 10 years or so IIRC.
Oh, you had such a beautiful sunny day! When I took this very route in the first week of April this year, a rainy Gothenburg greeted me. Still, it was a fruitful trip as I wanted to visit the Gothenburg Archipelago via the ferries. It was dark n gloomy, but beautiful nonetheless. Spent the rest of the day doing a “pub crawl” in the station’s bar & restaurants. Thank you for taking me back. Hope you recovered well. x
