I took peach internally from Tokyo to Hokkaido almost 8-9 years ago. From check in to boarding everything was automated no humans around and the machines were only in Japanese. We were abit lost but all in all it was an okay experience can’t really complain for the price

I recently used peach to go to osaka last minute as well. Had to book like 5 days before the flight but i spent like 450. I find that having a midnight flight works really well. Since I have friends in osaka, i probably could get a flight to just hang out with them over the weekend and come back haha. Once I figure out the cheat code to not having sore legs during the flight, i bet i’d go to japan often.
$99 ticket are usually a restricted ticket….cannot change date & time & not free food onboard, you are treated as a ‘life cargo’.
The cheapest flight I ever took to Japan was ALL-IN price of S125 net one way with 10kg “light luggage allowance”. This was in 2011 a few months just after the earthquake tsunami, I think the japanese government throw a lot money to promote tourism so me and my buddy grabbed the offer paid $250 return air ticket per person fly to tokyo and not budget airways, on ANA. I think unbeatable price until today.
