Sweden has announced that it will provide an additional aid of one billion kronor to Ukraine, which is around US$103 million. The aid will consist of both monetary support and military equipment. The Scandinavian nation will also contribute 100 million kronor for civilian efforts. Sweden was behind the non-alignment idea for years, but in May it overturned its stance, by submitting historic joint applications to join NATO.
