We left our motorcycle behind in Johor Bahru and crossed into Singapore for one unforgettable day — and by the time we made it back to Malaysia at 1AM, we were full of inspiration, but also questions.

From the incredible architecture of downtown Singapore to the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, futuristic Supertrees, and an unforgettable sunset over Marina Bay, this city kept surprising us at every turn. And the more we explored, the more we found ourselves asking: what could we learn from Singapore?

Of course, getting there and back was an adventure of its own — including one of the busiest international border crossings in the world, crowded buses, expensive food, and a very long day on our feet!

Come along with us as we discover Singapore for the first time and see why this tiny island nation left such a big impression on two American travelers. 🇸🇬🇺🇸

  • This is probably going to be a bit mean for those opening stores in the tourist areas but seriously, avoid shopping or eating there, the prices are jacked up by ~3 times or so (unless McDonalds). That also applies to 7-Eleven, in other countries they are cheap eats but in Singapore, 7-Eleven is a “convenience” store that you pay for the convenience. Usually, just a short 10-15 min walk would bring you to other areas that serve more or less the same things but at much cheaper prices.

  • Thank you for taking the time to visit Singapore. I’m glad that you enjoyed your one day trip here. Singapore welcome you and your husband to visit us again. Keep up the good job and enjoy travelling round the world. Take care and all the best.

  • Oh your narrative is good; beautiful, interesting …. Editing is superb…

Recently…. I am changing the video 5 minutes….. I realise Yours is the video I watch in whole without stopping for nearly 4 months

  • 21:19 the center super tree is actually the chimney of the boiler power plant which uses the fallen leaves and woods of the GBTB to generate electricity and heat to cool the Dome
