The North-South Corridor, which was set to open in phases from 2027, will be delayed by two years. The viaduct from Admiralty to Lentor and the tunnel from Lentor to East Coast will open in phases from 2029 and 2031 respectively. Authorities said the delay is caused by complex engineering works and challenging ground conditions. The Land Transport Authority said the additional monetary cost to the project, including who bears the costs, will only be finalised upon the project’s completion. Around S$7.4 billion of construction contracts have been awarded. Natalie Ong reports.
