  • Bro, just a side technical detail. Do not set your camera to “auto focus” mode. It cause focus breathing issue. Just set it to manual and focus to infinity. If you are out of focus due to that setting, you either need to change lens or sit further away.

  • Hi Josh, yr private client in her 50s, sounds like an exception. Her work not too taxing and stressful, work at her pace and travel frequently on business class, so she sounds like in some management position.

Well, it’s really not so straight forward for most average common worker to find smth that they can work, pays enough to support up and down and their passion at the same time. See 1m65 ah loo, peddling his ai courses like mad nearly everyday, plus make YT videos.

So what I mean is, it’s ideal but unlikely for most pple in sg to work in smth they like.

  • You have not included expenses at the end phase. This can be very very substantial. No planning, it becomes a huge burden for current young generation, which likely they could not support. Once critical illness hit, it is possible to wipe out total retrement savings. Especially, after the hospital /surgery, where one becomes bedridden and can be in this state for many years. As such, dying with zero is not a good strategy.

  • I liked ‘The art of spending money’ by Morgan Housel. It has a more balanced and phylosiphical outlook of Money and life. You should cover that next!

  • Giving the money to children early when it is most useful to them, true if they are really struggling and can barely make ends meet, more importantly is they must be able to learn how to fish on their own for long term sustainability

  • Hi Josh, what you talk about is pretty ideal. But in reality, alot of people in Singapore (esp those with young kids and elderly parents to support) – are working very hard trying to juggle between work, family and supporting their elderly parents. They probably also don’t really enjoy their job – it’s just a means to an end. Just for the salary every month. Also, alot of them do not travel for work, fly Biz class for work or enjoy work overseas. Can be very tiring. So it is pretty difficult to do both – enjoy work and enjoy life, at the same time.

Can share with us the calculator to simulate our retirement path? Thank you! 🙂
