Government challenges status of R370 grant

The South African government is challenging the status of the R370 Social Relief of Distress grant. The state is appealing a Pretoria High Court finding that the SRD grant implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic is now a permanent facility. The matter is being heard in the Supreme Court of Appeal.   • This is what makes citizens lazy and unwilling to work. Cut these grants. Get people to work for the money you’re giving them for free, and if someone comes from a family where no one has ever paid tax, then they don’t deserve it.

  • That money is little money Kat Matlala got 800 millions we are not 90 millions in SA so they can give south Africans a million each together with our grandchildrens .some millions will also remain stop corruption pls and work for peoples

  • We don’t really need the R370 grant, we need jobs. We were advised to go to school, graduate and get a better job which we being failed with it. We wanna woke up knowing that we living for something , we going to use our energy on something which will give us a salary to support our loved ones month end. Not R370…we need jobs, we wanna work

  • SRD is going straight to the Somalians and Pakistanis shops then out of the country it’s doesn’t circulate even once in townships straight to Al Shabab and ISIS

  • the money is there government must stop this tenders…and hire commuity with different skills pay them better than R370 those who dont want to work they get nothing
