Norway Road Trip: Dalen to Sundal [Day 3]

Day 3 in Norway 🇳🇴

Magical sauna + hike + bakery combo, here’s what we did on Day 3 of our Norway trip:
🌲 we woke up in the woods at a wild camping spot. Norway has the “right to roam” which means you can camp on most public lands.

TIP: The app Park4Night is super helpful for finding good spots to stay. We’ve used it in Scotland & Ireland too!

🔥 spent a couple of hours at the dreamiest sauna right on the water. When you rent it, the sauna is all yours (nobody else)! It was bliss. Since I’m pregnant and Juniper is a toddler, Ben was the only one that could fully use the sauna. There was a nice seating area to hang out, and we did some splashing and swimming, and it was such a nice way to spent the morning.
Details: 📍Soria Moria Sauna, 300NOK ($30) for 2 hours total (really cheap compared to most other saunas we’ve seen in Norway)

🥾 hiked to the Rui Farm, a historic site where 2 sisters lived for their entire lives (into their 90s, which was in the mid-1960s). The hike is short but pretty steep, and so worth it! We were there for 45 minutes and were completely alone.
🥐 stopped at the cutest bakery ever and enjoyed our cinnamon buns by the river 📍 Mjonøy AS
🚐 camped ON the water and went to sleep with an unbelievable view 📍 Sundal Campground
