South African Rand/ US Dollar Exchange Rate

I first came to the US about 10 years ago and the Rand/Dollar was 6/1 now after 10 years it is 16/1. Very scary.

  • I don’t understand Why African leaders will depend on America for trade,why don’t our African leaders introduce an African Currency and allow Africa to trade as a Continent.We don’t need other currencies actually they make us or other African Countries poor…

  • I need your help!!! I am trying to see what to send a kid in Africa.. what let’s say, a 20 bill in USA money will buy in Africa or a 50 bill or 100 bill.. can it pay there rent or foods

  • Amazing, isn’t it? I work in a retail foreign exchange company in New Zealand and the NZD/ZAR exchange rate broke 10 for the first time at the end of last year and even went above 11 in January. It’s now trading at around 10.4 which is around 15.7 against the USD. It doesn’t look like it’s going to strengthen much any time soon, maybe not ever. Are you still living in South Africa?
