There’s a place in the Arctic I keep coming back to.
I don’t fully understand why.
It disappoints me.
It frustrates me.
At times, I even feel like I shouldn’t be here at all.
And yet… I return.
Maybe it’s the beauty.
Maybe it’s the hope that this time will be different.
Or maybe it’s something harder to explain.
This video is not about finding the perfect place.
It’s about the strange pull some places can have on you — even when you know better.
This is Slow TV and Made for TV specifically!

Late summer days spent moving through wind, rain, and long, restless nights.
Trying to find a place to stop… and questioning why I came back in the first place.

Filmed in the Arctic during late summer.

I don’t think your attitude toward the Lofoten Islands is entirely fair… We’ve been there several times—always around June—and we didn’t find it overcrowded at that time. Yes, that particular beach *was* full. We were lucky enough to snag a parking spot up top with a view. I feel that as vanlifers, we shouldn’t expect to find a dream spot for free everywhere we go; rather, we should be happy to give something back to the local villages, municipalities, and campsites from time to time. After all, that is what sustains this region. We are happy to pay for a pitch and are grateful that such options exist. To us, the Lofoten Islands are the most beautiful place on earth. I feel such profound happiness on this island that I can barely put it into words—and that’s not just true for you or me, but for so many people. So let’s all share this island with one another and support it wholeheartedly. ❤
Please, video without music ,iam found of your country ans i dream of it since my boyhood
So beautiful !! I would be there often. It’s breathtaking!
Grateful for you sharing your magical van life & Norway which is absolutely stunning paradise! If you just had views of Norway landscapes from your tiny home that might make all the difference for your peace of mind. Is possible, maybe rent out your tiny home to respectable tenants & try find some place more in nature area and old, structurally sound farm house close to safety yet surrounded by nature views? You’re a rare gifted soul who is nourished by nature & magic only found open spaces. Walls & views of rooftops is absolute energy drain for your nature.
