I asked people in Singapore how much they really earn per month and what is considered a high salary in Singapore 🇸🇬
From SGD 3,000 to SGD 10,000 per month, the answers show how different income expectations are in Singapore today. Some people think SGD 3-4k is already high. Others say SGD 10k per month is just average.
What is actually considered “doing well” in Singapore?
How much salary do you need to feel comfortable?
Is SGD 10,000 per month really average in Singapore?
In this street interview I talk to locals about their monthly salary, what they think is a good income in Singapore, and whether people here feel rich or behind compared to others.

Most true blue born and bred Singaporeans will decline being interviewed. Only a small handful would agree to this cos obviously it’s taboo. Hence mostly what u see are young students, NSFs, and foreigners working in SG getting interviewed. Kinda lame tbh.
Below 10k you can’t make it here. If you earn under 10k you should have a good look at yourself in the mirror.
Haha first 2 guests- Indonesian and Philippines accent??
Expat i guess she is earning about $60k to $80k a month before allowances. Gross should be around $100K to $150k? Nice life to ask from avg sg folks
First lady – not originally from SG.. shd be from the PH or Indo…
When we lived there my partner earned $15k a month which was great but it’s only due to the low tax rates. This is why Singaporeans don’t like foreigners much.Even tho company’s have quotas on expat workers.Singaporeans are not loyal at work they jump ship even with a small pay increase. They all want more money. Our condo was $3200 per month which was we thought a bit pricey
What’s your salary.
