My Japanese viewer living in Singapore got S$100,000 scammed. How did it happen, and what techniques did the scammers use? Yurino bravely reached out to me to share her story so that she can prevent future similar cases. Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world but scammers often operate from overseas and we must stay cautious.

Aways call the official numbers to verify. this will save you a lot of trouble. worst case? they knock on yr door or send you official letter by post if it is real. if it is a very serious case, you should be meeting them for kopi session at the official location not talking through phone.
let her share her story stop interrupting her..
Am always amazed that such a convoluted scam can actually work, there are so many steps along the way whereby the victim can just wake up. Pretty scary the way the victim gets brainwashed
How’d they get the personal details like IC etc? Must be someone working in cahoots with access to sensitive info and abusing this info
Thank you for this video. There should be more awareness of this ongoing situation in Singapore. I almost got scammed two days ago. They impersonated police officers and bank personnel. The urgency and confidentiality they used to isolate me from the situation is similar to what happened to Yurino, who shared about a fake arrest letter that said my name was flagged in the system. People should be more cautious of these horrible scammers. and like what she said Do not answer any unknown calls.
My wishes to Yurino to recover from the struggle you went through this scam. Thanks for educating people through this interview. Best wishes from India.
Things will not change until scammers are labelled as financial murderers
Cane and jail the scammers. Don’t ever pick up calls from any unknown numbers. I always received many unknown phone calls and then I did not pick up the phone calls. Please ask someone you know to WhatsApp you for safety reasons.
If you are curious about how scammers operate their crimes, please watch scam baiting videos like kitboga and etc.
In Singapore laws, female are not allowed to be caned. Caning is only for male.
Did she able to get back the money?
Sad that this is happening every where now. They are still trying their luck even though awareness has brought out to public. I received at least 2 calls from scammers. The situation they brought out seems real and urgent but I took it cool and level headed. I noted down their names and dept/ branch. I said I will call him back again. For my case both are from banks. I searched for the main telephone number on search engine and call to confirm the staff name. If it’s negative I immediately report to the police and I also I don’t normally answer unfamiliar numbers. If I do, that’s make me to be more cautious and not to be gullible.
