Marina Bay Cruise Centre reopens after S$40m facelift, offers faster baggage check-in

Singapore has taken another step to cement its position as a leading cruise hub, with the reopening of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre on Oct 29. Among the upgrades following a S$40 million facelift is early check-in for baggage that will take less than half the time compared with before. The centre can also hold almost 12,000 passengers, nearly double the previous capacity. This comes as demand for cruise travel continues to grow across the region. Charlotte Lim with more.

  • Great improvements!
However, Penang cruise port is horrible — passengers are greeted by several derelict buildings as they go ashore. Same thing at Port Klang — nothing to see there.

  • Took 3 hours just to get through to immigration – joke of a process. Oh, passport absolutely required too, so this report is grossly inaccurate.
