Barry Eichengreen, distinguished professor at the University of California Berkeley, says a trade deal of sorts between the U.S. and China will be signed as a complete breakdown is “too expensive” for both parties. He adds that attempts to internationalize the renminbi is going through a rough patch, and that he is more worried than ever about the dominance and reserve currency status of the U.S. dollar.
US-China trade war unsustainable: Expert predicts eventual resolution

China is very poor after supplies material to make chips and they don’t want to sale back China whole world.
China’s already moved on, US needs to stop behaving like a needy Ex and move on as well
The US gov has zero credibility. Whatever they promised will be denied thr next day if not next hour
China is preparing for decoupling, so China thinks it’s okay to stop trading with US directly.
lol I expect TACO
Just say to the US, if you want rare earths, pay in RMB only…
China should NOT enter into any deal…. Its clear, once the US gets what it wants, it will back to the usual ‘new attack of the week’ be it, Ship port tax, new entity list changes, Russia bans (even on flying over Russia), etc…
Its time for China to cut lose and focus on real partners… It tried the nice win win route, even in 2008 but was backstabbed by the US straight after..
