  • One good thing in Singapore is that it’s easier to plan for retirement given its stability and the various schemes (CPF). I feel that it’s worth appreciating this fact – it’s much more difficult to plan retirement in countries where inflation / foreign exchange rates are unpredictable.

Ghib, on Singapore tax – I think your calculation haven’t allowed for the various tax reliefs that we have (CPF Relief / Earned Income Relief / Child Relief / Parent Relief / SRS Relief) – if we allow for all these reliefs, I’d say that the tax is probably < $3,000... So, make sure you maximize those!

  • Please do some videos about macritchie treetop walk, Bukit Timah Hill, Coney Island, Pulau Ubin, Kusu Island etc. Singapore is not just concrete buildings.

  • 14:01 I think nondescriptive & outwardly unremarkable IS the identity of people of Singapore… you can’t pin it down, yet it’s there… goes well with “uniquely Singapore”… ok it’s starting to sound very Zen
